Southside community blog Hills and Heights has a great post this morning on tree care during this recent weather:
Large trees are a defining factor in the character of the many neighborhoods and are the most valuable assets to our landscapes. Please help them survive. DO A RAINDANCE!!
It is sad to see so many trees in city medians dieing at this time.
When I was over near the Carillon this week, it appeared more than half the trees planted this year are dead or nearly dead. All had tree gators, but it is obvious no one is watering them.
Good tips, especially the mulch. Mulch will also help protect the roots in the winter as well.
