Mosby Express Market & Deli ABC hearing set for August
07/19/2010 11:26 AM by John M
The docket for the August 3rd ABC license hearing (PDF) includes a challenge to the application for the Mosby Express Market & Deli at 715 Mosby Street for an ABC off license. (previously)
Is there anyone out there who still thinks this market is an asset to the community? It is dirty, unkept, overgrown with weeds and people are starting to sat in the alleys next to the market. Allowing them to sell liquor will be a monumental mistake. There will be consumption of achohol in the alleys and the area will be very unsafe. Please do not support this establishment in their pursuit of license to sell liquor of any type. They could care less about this community or it’s inhabitants as evidenced by the condition of the establishment.
We have schools close by and this is not the type business we need here.
@1/julestools: i didn’t know the adjacent alleyways at the Mosby Express Mart had become loitering areas. you’re right about them becoming nasty open-air cocktail lounges if this place gets its ABC-off license. I hope you and the folks who live close to this joint show up for the hearing on Aug 3.
Have you looked @ the convenience store @ Mosby& Fairmont, Chimborzo Mini Mall,
Jefferson Ave& 30th St.,Creighton & 9 Mile Rd. I beleive the alley belongs to the city and it’s there responsibility to
patrol the alley ways. The are schools near all the convenience stores listed above and yes they have THEIR ABC off license.I support 715 Mosby St 150% now and will continie to do so. They are not
responsible for those that can’t control
the drinking.GIVE THEM A BREAK, YOU CAN’T
JUDGE THE BOOK BY IT’S COVER. THEY ARE REALLY, REALLY NICE PEOPLE.
