Did you steal this bicycle?

A message, if perhaps the bicycle thief is both decent and reading Craigslist:
I just got my red and black schwinn road bike stolen from me in the Church Hill area. If you’re the one that did this, I’d appreciate it if you had the decency to bring it back.
Lol @ decency in Church Hill
Yeah, I am sure the thieves are going to magically take the moral high ground just because someone asked them to return stolen property.
I’m telling ya, I DON’T recommend this, but SOME folks think Honeybike is the answer.

tvewsbadge,
That’s a hoot!
tvnewsbadge, love the link although I learned the hard way that booby trapping your property is illegal. Yes, I learned this when the kid who was stealing my inspection sticker (for the 3rd time) called the police because he was injured stealing from my booby trapped car. Urgh!
Really? How were they injured?
Early Saturday morning about 2am,someone had placed a Raleigh bike behind a hedge in my front yard. It was a very expensive looking bike. I called the police and asked if anyone had reported a bike stolen and told them about the one in my yard. The police responded that they had no way of checking. The bike was still there at 4:45 am. It was gone by 7 am. Either the thief came back at it or another thief stole it. North 31st Street
