Lt.Martin Harrison’s Sector 113 June report (PDF) for all points north of Carrington and Nine Mile is now available and includes both year-to-date comparisons for 2009-10 and August 2010 info:

WEAPON RECOVERY- 1400 Block of Coalter St, at 2130 hrs: Officers Jinks and Robinson responded to a narcotics call. Upon the officers’ arrival, juveniles began to scatter and two attempted to goad Officer Jinks into chasing them. The officers searched the area and found a .357 revolver lying in the road where the group was standing and a .25 semi auto handgun was found concealed in an empty potato chip bag on the grass where the group had been standing.

WEAPON RECOVERY- B2500 Rosetta St, 08/27/10, 2355 hrs.
FMT officers (Bridges, Gilbert, and Custer) attempted to stop a moped when the subject began to flee. A foot pursuit ensued and the subject was discovered inside of a trash can in the rear 2517 Phaup St by Officers Kirby and Spada. After officers retraced the path, Officer Gilbert discovered a 9mm Astra semi auto firearm. The individual was charged with felony eluding, possession of marijuana and possession of stolen property.

WEAPON RECOVERY – B1400 COALTER STREET – 08/04/2010 1015 HOURS – FMT officers were conducting alternative patrol (walking) thru the bungalows located on Coalter Street when they recovered a .45 cal Colt semi- automatic firearm in the wheel well of a parked vehicle.

WEAPON RECOVERY – Officers Fitzpatrick and Gilbert arrested a 21 yoa male in the 1900 block of Raven Street for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A Ruger P94 .40 cal. was recovered.

Alma Louise Smith – arrested for prostitution on Fairmount Ave

Sector 113 covers 9 neighborhoods: Brauers, Creighton, Eastview, Fairfield, Fairmount, Mosby, Peter Paul, Woodville, and Whitcomb. Five of the these (Whitcomb, Peter Paul, Brauers, and Fairmount) have seen a decline in the total violent and property crime this year as compared to last year at this time, and Woodville has seen no change.
