The Chimborazo Chargers, Church Hill’s youth league football team, kicked off their season last week. The Juniors beat the Randolph Dragons 24 to 16; anybody got the Peewee and Midgets scores? Their games are held in Oakwood Park (by the cemetery) and are very well attended by many people in the neighborhood, not just the moms and dads. Come on out Saturday morning and support our local athletes!
Peewees are probably the most fun to watch! There were three touchdowns on the first three carries alone! Then the defense stepped up their game. I believe 24 (Oakwood) – 16 was the final score.
