ACORN works to save houses on Q Street, P Street

Some good news from the Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods:

Working with the owners of 3012-3014 P Street (above) and the owners of 2621-2623 Q Street (below) to save these four houses from demolition, we are half-way there for these two double houses. Although suffering from deterioration, these properties, along with their neighbors, are still intact and retain some of its historic interior and exterior features.

(1) 3014 P Street
Church Hill North Historic District
Zoned: R-6 (Single Family Residential)
Finished living area: 798 Square Feet
Description: 15′ wide x 133′ Deep
This Italianate row house, circa 1890, is one half of a two-story, four-bay contributing building in the Church Hill North State and National Register Historic District that is eligible for historic rehabilitation tax credits.

(2) 2621 Q Street
Church Hill North Historic District
Zoned: R-6 (Single Family Residential)
Finished living area: 1532 Square Feet
Description: 15′ wide x 130′ Deep
This Italianate row house, circa 1890, is one half of a two-story, four-bay contributing building in the Church Hill North State and National Register Historic District that is eligible for historic rehabilitation tax credits.
