2nd Annual Tricycle Gardens Harvest Dinner

The 2nd Annual Tricycle Gardens Harvest Dinner will be October 2, 2010, at the Robinson Theater. They’ll be roasting a hog on-site, will have restaurants cooking, too, like last year, wine, beer, a signature Tricycle Gardens cocktail, silent auction and bluegrass from Scattered, Smothered and Covered.

Richmond’s Hollywood Cemetery A new book by Richmond resident John Peters, published by the History Center. This hardbound collection of historical and contemporary photographs and narrative about one of the country’s most famous cemeteries will be available in the History Center Gift Shop as of September 16th. Makes a great gift! Mr. Peters will deliver an Author Talk and sign books on October 5th at 6pm at St. John’s Church.

Liberty Lecture Series

The biannual Liberty Lecture Series is co-produced by the Valentine Richmond History Center and the St. John’s Church Foundation. Lectures focus on different aspects of political, social, economic, and regional history, and are held at St. John’s Church in Church Hill. The lecture is free; guests are invited to stay for a post-lecture lunch and book signing. Books will be available for sale in the St. John’s Church Visitor Center.
