Scott leads Smith in money race
10/21/2010 11:00 PM by John M
The awesome Virginia Public Access Project has added information on this season’s Congressional races. In the 3rd District, incumbent Bobby Scott has more than $100,000 more in the coffers than his Republican challenger (though much less than many of the other incumbent candidates).
CANDIDATE / RECEIVED / ON HAND
John Kelly (Independent) (Report Not Yet Received)
James Quigley (Libertarian) (Report Not Yet Received)
Bobby Scott * (Democrat) $339,748 / $120,564
Chuck Smith (Republican) $56,005 / $17,179
Since being first elected in 1992, Scott has never received less than 69% of the vote and no challenger has received more than 31%.
