Richmond type map is cool, spurns much of the East End

The new Richmond Type Map (previously) is pretty sweet, but totally disses most of the neighborhood.

We won’t even talk about Southside. But I still love it.

That sucks but I didn’t really get the hype over this “map” anyway.
I won’t know for certain till I get mine but it looks like where I used to live in Forest Hill got included but now where I am now off Broad
There can be only one!

I hope they have the neighborhoods right… chances are, no.
“…spurns much of the East End”
So do most Richmonders!
I have it and its fabulous! I’ve emailed Ork Posters asking about the potential for a Richmond map- no dice. Enter the Richmond Typemap. It’s a totally different vibe than the Ork posters but not in a bad way!
One con though- the map is measures 19×25…kind of a awkward size and surprise (!), frames don’t come that size. Bummer, I know. Looks like people will have to get creative in their framing/display options!
Does anyone know where we can view the whole map online and see detail? The website won’t allow for zooming, and I would rather see how specific neighborhoods got labeled before purchasing.
John M – here is the company’s address: 5219-B Hickory Park Drive, Glen Allen VA 23059
I hate to be stereotypical, but many West Enders don’t know there are multiple neighborhoods in East End/Southside/Northside… they know the Near West End, River Road, Carytown, the Fan, Oregon Hill, Downtown, and Churchill. Borders to never be crossed by scared suburbanites: M Street on 25th, 25th on Main, 64/95 Overpass on Chamberlayne heading away from VCU, anywhere south of the river within city limits… you know the drill.
