Looking for a small black female dog?

We found a small black female dog in Chimborazo Park this morning. She is older, skittish and very malnourished. No tag or collar. She is about 10 pounds with beautiful big eyes and grey whiskers. She looks like she’s been on her own for long enough to lose weight, but she’s not traffic-savvy,so may have been an indoor pet until recently. CH Vet agreed to shelter her until Animal Control could pick her up. If you lost a small sweet dog you might check with Animal Control to rescue her. Or if you want to start 2011 with an act of generosity, I’m sure this little girl would be your best friend for life.

I’m afraid this story doesn’t end well. This little dog was just too sick to survive. My thanks to the good people at Church Hill Vet, who gave her food, a warm place to sleep, lots of affection and comfort in her last hours. Not so much to Animal Control, who were called before noon and never put in an appearance.
That’s very sad, I’m so sorry. Jim, I’m glad at least she was comfortable over there, the folks at Church Hill Vet are wonderful.
Awww, so sad. It’s a shame she wasn’t spotted sooner, but at least she spent her last few hours in a warm place with people who cared about her.
