City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Frequency
Typically the second and fourth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)

General Assembly Vespers Service at St.John’s

This commemorative worship service, held on the eve of the legislative session, will serve as the kickoff for the 400th Anniversary Celebration.This evening service will welcome the Richmond community as well as the members of the Virginia General Assembly. The service is the community’s opportunity to join with legislators and staff in seeking blessing for a just, productive and compassionate legislative session.It will highlight St. John’s rich historical legacy as a beacon of political and religious freedom.
Your presence and that of your guests on January 11th is important to our parish as we, once more, gather to thank God for our freedoms and ask God for blessing and guidance, spiritually and intellectually.
