City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Richmond Council Chambers, Richmond City Hall, 2nd floor; 900 E. Broad Street
Frequency
Typically the second and fourth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)

At the East End Library – Meet the Mouse. Very basic instruction for the complete novice who doesn’t like computers, has to learn to use one, and is ready to have some fun. Class size is limited. First come, first serve.

Greater Fulton Community Development Update
On Wednesday January 26th, at 6:30 at the Powhatan Community Center, 7th District Councilwoman Cynthia Newbille and Peter Chapman, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Economic and Community Development will convene a meeting of representatives from the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Health-E-Community Builders and the Neighborhood Resource Center partnering with LISC to discuss the development activities occurring in Greater Fulton Community. Following a short presentation, community members will have the opportunity to ask questions and comment. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Powhatan Community Center, is located at 5051 Northampton St., Richmond, VA 23231, (804)646-0973. The Community Center will be set up to accommodate 125 people.
This meeting was rescheduled from December 2010 due to inclement weather.
