Area woman killed in Northside shooting
02/10/2011 1:27 PM by John M
Barbara A. Stinnett, 26, of the 500 block of North 26th Street was shot to death last night in a double shooting on Chamberlayne Avenue. Kevin M. Scott, 18, of the 8400 block of Tyler Lane, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. A juvenile teen female has also been arrested and charged.
So sad. It is unclear by the news reports what exactly happened. Was the car she was in moving or were they in the parking lot when the attempted robbery and subsequent shooting occurred?
I’ve heard that a society is best measured on how it treats its women. This recent rise of killing and shooting of women in Richmond represents a society who have seemingly lost respect for human life in Richmond today. It’s sad, indeed. People need to speak up and not be so passive towards this thug mentality…the next victim might be you or someone you love!
Bobbie, you were a sweet girl and you will be missed. Your son will be well taken care of … your family loves you, and you are in a better place@!
It saddens me that a resident of Union Hill/Churchill’s daughter was murdered last night. Bill, you and your family are in my prayers. I want you to know that your daughter is in a better place. With all this crime, murders, thefts, and robberies it is really beginning to affect all of us no matter what race you are. We all need to make peace with ourselves and God or whomever you worship to make our days here on this earth and where we live a blessed one. She was a young girl who left a child back here and if we had any compassion, we as neighbors and people of this commmunity will stop by and show our respect and regards for this tragic experience that this family is going through. It is the 3rd house from the corner. The gray one with the yellow moped that is for sale in front of! I wanted you to know I did!
