More props for Alamo BBQ

Our neighborhood bbq joint scored 2nd for “Best BBQ” in Style Weekly’s city-wide reader-polled Best of Richmond 2011.
Buz and Ned’s is the pick for anyone who has never had Alamo or Q so it’s no surprise they won on name alone. Props to the guys at alamo for more recognition. Unfortunately all this means word is getting out and lines will be longer.
Church Hill took third in best neighborhood also.
Richmond is fortunate to have two awesome BBQ restaurants, each offering something different.
For a scrappy start up, barely two years old, the Alamo has made a HUGE impact on the RVA BBQ scene. Congrats, guys! We love you.
Congrats Alamo! It’s a pity that Bux and Ned’s won out over you guys. No one knows good BBQ until they have tried yours! Church Hill is lucky to have you guys up here!
Patrick Henry also took a couple of awards for best bar categories.
Thanks Alex. No slight intended to PH, but the interface at Style makes it a little difficult to dig through by geography.
You could just try picking up a real copy of Style…
Alamo, you may have placed 2nd in this competition, but you are #1 to me!
Alamo’s bbq is, indeed, the best. That Alamo and Patrick Henry are within easy walking distance makes them even better IMHO. Congratulations, Alamo BBQ and Patrick Henry. We’re lucky to have you guys in Church Hill!
Moving onto the Hill next week after damn near a decade in the ‘burbs … MEGAPSYCHED!
Mandy,
Welcome to the neighborhood!
