Virginia’s only entry into the list of “21 of the best barbecue sandwiches that you’ll ever eat” in the June/July issue of Garden & Gun is Church Hill’s own Alamo BBQ.
Way to go Alamo!
Remember the Alamo!!
(and indeed their pulled chicken sandwich is the s**t)
Holy Alamo-ly! i just noticed a big-ass RV parked across the street from the Alamo…and wondered aloud to hubby if those folks hadn’t just pulled off I95 to taste the best bbq this side of the Appalachians. Way to put us on the map, Alamo!
yippy yi yo ki yay!!
Great Job Alamo! We love ya!
I knew that whole 2nd place in the BBQ cat. was a fluke they should have beat “Q BBQ” hands down.
Alamo’s Beef Brisket is like heaven on Earth. Keep serving incredible food!!
All they need now is an ABC license and I’d be in heaven!
Great news for Alamo!
I’m also intrigued by the fact that a magazine called Garden and Gun exists. Sounds like an odd combo to me.
Alex,
Odd name for a rag but nonetheless a pretty good one. VERY Southern! Pick one up sometime. Looks like the food article couldn’t be more spot on!
What, no mention of their other incredible food?!
Beats buzz and neds anyday, hands down
im on vacation away from alamo, im in complete shambles
might as well starve
The brisket was spot on last night. Now I want more!
I crave Alamo’s brisket 24/7!!
I hear that JD! Their fish tacos are bangin’ as well!
The holy trinity for me is the Cuban pork sandwich, a large order of mac and cheese and a large order of the cowboy beans. Ahh!
