Bakery/retail coming to Marshall?

Building permits in the windows at 2707 East Marshall Street indicate that light remodeling is taking place for retail/food service for the House of Homemade.
I’ve seen some activity in this space recently.
Yes! I thought it looked like they were building a counter of some type in there.
Oh, please! Something like this could lead to more innovative shops in Church Hill – a deli, a butcher, a wine merchant (come on Coopers!), or any number of choice outlets…
There is a nice wine shop near Lulu’s in Shockoe Bottom that opened last year. The owner is very friendly and picks interesting wines. I believe they have free tastings on Friday and Saturday nights too.
C’est Le Vin is the shop MrsAlex speaks of. I recommend it as well!!
Another thumbs up for C’est le Vin. They also now have a light dinner menu, and the owners were telling us that they now have events on certain nights – tango dance on Wednesday, and Jazz on Fridays, I believe. Anyway, the owners are super nice, always recommend nice wines, and the place is well worthy of support.
I’m also looking forward to whatever goes into the property in the original post… hoping for an epicurian food / deli place myself.
I heard they are also going to have great sandwiches and Organic/Local Foods..I am really excited! It’s about time! Welcome House of Homemade.
