Lost Dog… yesterday morning 7/17
Yesterday I sent emails to John at two different (actually three but one bounced) addresses about a Lost Dog I saw wandering our block about 11:15 yesterday morning…
It was an older male stocky Chihuahua mix, white and gray mottled with blue eyes and no collar. He was heading towards Clay Street from the 400 block of N 27th.
I have seen other posts since but nothing on this reported stray… John, are you ignoring my emails? By not posting the notice you are doing this forum and neighborhood a big injustice and possibly the loss of a family pet.
Eric
Wow! That seems a little tough, Eric. Maybe John is on vacation or sick. I don’t think any of us should ever take for granted that John M. does this as a hobby and a service for our community. I don’t know how he does it, but maybe don’t forget to thank him when you ask why he didn’t get your email. Just sayin!
parkgirl… True, I may have been a little tough on John… Sorry John!
But I have been posting for several years and have seen a shift in involvement and a total disconnect from answering emails.
I did see other posts made after mine and here it is under the Yorkshire Terrier report and none on its own so people looking can find it… odd. I feel for the family of the little dog and hope it wasn’t picked up only to ultimately be euthanized.
I tried to be timely so people on the look can follow its trail but this ended up a day later being posted and again, after there were other things posted by John after my emailed report to him.
BTW… the CHPN.com email for John does not work.
Eric
I found a Yorkshire terrier in my yard (2100 block of 21st st) Sunday morning. No identification but he has a flea collar and harness. I’ve responded to the craigslist ad both my telephone and email but haven’t received a response.
Correction-1100 block of N 21st St.
#3, if you’re that worried about the dog, you should have called animal control when you saw it or caught it yourself. Not posted online.
good job #4!
John M., I am sorry you will have to either relinquish your fat CHPN salary or it’s PISTOLS AT DAWN! with Eric.
YOU Have offended him , sir…
I say. I say. OFFENDED!
From Patrick:
He is really cute. Surely someone will want him if his owner does not respond. Is he neutered? I think I see another dog’s tail in the pic – does he get along OK with other dogs?
Patrick,
If you need a foster parent for the little guy while his owner is located, we may be able to help.
#10-He gets along well with other dogs. He’s staying here with a german shepard and a Boston Pit. No problems so far.
#11-That’s great! Email me at mayopk@vcu.edu. I’d love to keep him but the other two don’t appreciate sharing my attention.
