You can expect great homemade baked goods, fresh baked bread, signature sandwiches, delicious salads, homemade ice cream, organic/local produce and grocery and so much more…
We are finishing some last minute details and will annouce soon the exact date the doors will open.

Booom! Someone FINALLY gets it! Can’t wait for this place to open.
Yea!! I can’t wait to visit.
We have stopped by to check on opening date, which we anxiously await!
Just guessing, but I wonder if this “Kimmy” is the same Kimmy who works at Globerhopper. If so, we are in for an awesome treat!
@Magneto, I was wondering the same exact thing. I hope you are right!
I’m really looking forward to this opening!
Oh I’m sooo excited and it’s only 2 blocks from my house, hooray!!
This is wonderful news! Looking forward to stopping in and trying some of the homemade goodies! Exacly what the neighborhood needs! Good Luck to you in your new venture!
This is so exciting. Keep the new businesses coming!
How wonderful! Is there a website?
Welcome Kimmy…it sounds like your new venture will be a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I can’t wait to stop by.
Ahhh, so happy to hear this great news! It’s so good for our neighborhood on so many levels. Thank you, Kimmy, for bringing your healthy cuisine to Church Hill.
Kimmy knows what it’s all about. We are in for a pleasant surprise!!! 😉
This is great news. I grew up here, and even though the Quik Check (now Captain Buzzy’s) had some really scary looking veggies, it had some veggies. I’ve been ranting about the need for something more like a corner store for years. This sounds great!
I bet the ice cream is more reasonable pricewise than It Must Be Heaven. Yay! Plus fresh bread and veggies! It just keeps getting better and better on the hill. Kimmy is in touch with what the peple want.
Personally I hoping they would have leaned more towards the baked goods. Hoped for some fresh hot homemade doughnuts 🙂 But having any legitimate business on the corner is a plus and hope that someone would have an open mind about Charlie Johnson’s building catty-corner from it and open something that compliments this.
The old building is still under spot blight proceedings and gutted though I have been seeing some construction activity on the second floor… not sure what their motives are?
Yay! This is GREAT news! Welcome, welcome!
Kimmy Certa from GlobeHopper and Mother Bars here. I am not the Kimmy who is opening House of Homemade but there is room for more than one awesome Kimmy in Church Hill. I wish her luck!!
Just went today and the sandwiches were great! Excited to try more.
Are they open full time now? Any idea what the hours will be?
Dropped by for lunch and groceries today. This is just what we needed around here! They are open 8-8 and have a nice selection of good healthy foods, produce, sandwiches and sweets. Very friendly server and the sandwich was awesome. We’ll be doing a lot of our produce shopping there and it’s good to have a place that carries Flour Garden bread for sale.
Welcome to the neighborhood. I will be by soon.
