Sub Rosa looking at 25th Street

Work It, Richmond has some info about the bakery/coffee shop that was previously rumored for 25th Street
When Evrim Dogu decided he wanted to move his baking business into a new building, he decided to look for space in Richmond’s Church Hill neighborhood. […] If all goes well, the new bakery also will include a coffee and espresso bar run by Lamplighter Roasting Co. Dogu hopes the joint venture will draw more customers and create something of a community gathering spot.
Great article on all fronts and such good news.
Hopefully all these new businesses aren’t going to step on each other’s toes.
We do need some new retail, particularly groceries, produce, bakery and meat and can probably support another restaurant or two. All of the planned businesses I’ve heard about recently sound like they’ll be a good addition to the neighborhood but I am not sure if we can support all of them.
Having Sub Rosa, the Roosevelt and Lamplighter all in one place is going to be a force multiplier! What can we do to show our support?
I think Houdon is right. The more the merrier. These businesses in such close proximity will be mutually reinforcing and will lead to a stronger and more resilient commercial hub.
Great news! I won’t have any problem spreading my business around!
What about the bakery rumored to be moving in to the building on the corner of 27th and Marshall?
