I swear they’re building this just to build a building and to see how many changes they can make to it. Next year there may be a wing and a 4th story with dormers.
I’m fascinated by this building. It makes no sense, AND things keep happening there.
I appears that it’s kinda… sorta… I dunno.. changed owners.
I too have been fascinated by that yellow thing. For a newer type of building I have never seen one built that bowed out so much in the middle that the siding seem cracked. Very interesting.
I talked to one of the workers there today and he said it’s going to be a store with office space above. He commented that the original builder probably got it from the city for cheap and threw up a building. He said a lot was wrong with it and they’re still reinforcing it because it was not built so well. So we’ll see.
Any news as to what is happening years later? Like someone said, it has gone through many phases and believe transients are still living there. The exterior (siding) is still a mess and they are taking forever to make a parking lot.
Bringing this back up since it remains a mystery. at one point I saw people getting the parking area ready, then nothing happened. Then there was work on the outside, drop ceilings added and what looks like coolers but that was it. Weeds and vines are taking over again. No electricity to the building. And all the second floor windows seem open as though vagrants are staying in it – dangerous for them and the building.
What gives? It has been in limbo for years.
