Shooting on 23rd Street

A man was shot while trying to avoid a robbery late last night on the 1600 block of North 23rd Street:

The victim told police a dark-colored Cadillac sedan drove past them several times before an unknown black male got out and announced that it was a robbery. The victim told police he and his girlfriend began running away, and they heard several gunshots before he realized he had been struck in the foot.
