ABC hearing set for Five Corners Mini Mart
11/02/2011 6:38 AM by John M
The hearing on the ABC license for the 5 Corners Mini Mart at Venable and Mosby has been rescheduled from Nov. 3, 2011 9AM to Nov. 17, 2011 at 9AM.
I have to say, I drive down Mosby both to and from work, and it is already bad enough with the Mosby Market foot traffic. People just walk right into the street without any care as to whether it is safe or not, and I can only imagine it will be a lot worse with a store that sells alcohol.
#1 I agree with you. I don’t drive down Mosby on any regular basis, but maybe once a month. The other day, I came down it around 5 p.m. and had to come to a screeching halt right in front of the Mosby market so that a hooded figure could go ambling across the street. The guy didn’t look left or right, just stepped right out into traffic in the middle of the block.
I agree completely, in the past week I’ve had two people walk right into traffic going to 5-Corners.
How many alcohol establishments do we need within a 1 mile radius of an area that is one of the most dangerous in the country anyways?
Folks, if you have strong feelings about this issue, you can make an impact. Let your voice be heard at the ABC hearing on Thursday Nov. 17th, at ABC hqtrs on Hermitage Road (near the corner of Robin Hood Road behind the Diamond).
This item is FIRST on the docket, so you won’t have to wait thru any other cases.
Past/recent experience at ABC hearings has shown that the local citizens DO have an impact in the outcome of license applications…but only if you show up in person and say your piece.
Is this store closed? It has looked dark for about a week
