Mary Ann Buffington passes after battle with cancer
12/16/2011 10:10 AM by John M
Last night, a dear friend, member of the Church Hill community, business owner and shining soul passed away last night, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary Ann Buffington will be missed and Captain Buzzy’s will never be the same without her sunny disposition, rapier wit and remarkably positive outlook regardless of circumstances.
What sad, sad news. Sending positive energy to Bob during this difficult time.
My heart breaks that she’s gone but it’s hard to think of anything other than love when Mary Ann comes to mind. Would love to attend services and do something for Bob. Thanks for keeping us posted.
My condolences to Bob.

Very sorry to hear the news. She and Bob were cornerstones of this community and have done a lot to make Church Hill what it is today. My prayers are with Bob and the rest of her family in this difficult time. Hopefully we will get some news on funeral arrangements and where we can send donations / flowers soon?

Deepest condolences. How sad.
My thoughts and prayers are with Bob and the rest of Mary Ann’s family and friends.
Sorry to hear it. She was a friendly soul. Bob and Mary Ann donated bikes to us when we first opened. Folks like this really help a neighborhood’s roots. She will be missed.
Very sad, indeed.
So, so sorry to hear this.
It is sad to hear this. F@ck cancer!
I can’t tell you how sorry I am to hear this news. Bob, if you read these notes, I will miss Mary Ann so much. I know that I don’t live in Church Hill anymore, but I could always count on both of your friendly faces to always be there when I returned, and I loved that. She was a friend, and I will always remember her. Bob, please know that you have friends and support all over, even if we don’t get to see you very often. Love, Erika
Very sad news indeed. Buff, our thoughts are all with you at this difficult time.
My thoughts are with you Bob and your family during this difficult time. Jack Zehmer and I spent a lot of time at Buzzy’s when we were working on our recent book on Church Hill, Good memories.
My prayers are with the family during this season in their life. Has MaryAnn been laid to rest. I could not find any info in the newspaper. Thanks
