Woman injured while stopping car break-in

Around 8:00 p.m. Saturday, the woman confronted the male suspect in a car break-in attempt in the 600 block of 22nd Street. The two got into a fight and at one point the suspect used a knife to cut the woman in the arm. We’re told the woman required a few stitches, but is otherwise okay.
I hope Herring doesn’t prosecute her for harassment.
Today’s Crime Report puts this in 3rd Precinct, so Southside instead of Union Hill:

A female reported she was cut by an unknown male.
I love citizens not taking crime lying down, but unless you are armed, have the necessary cause to intervene and the circumstances allow you to get the drop on the suspect, just let them have the stupid car.
