RVA Snow Plowing Status Map

You should be able to see which streets have been plowed. I don’t think it works on phones.
TAGGED: map
As someone who just moved to CH last week from a “no snow” city, I thank you for this map link!
The idea looks to be very cool. Let’s wait and see how well it really goes before you thank me 🙂
Depends where you are, the MLK bridge might be your best bet for getting anywhere anytime soon.
Once again, I was embarrassed by the way VDOT handled the snow Sunday night. I drove down 64 E at Short Pump to my home in Union Hill around 9pm that night. This was well after accumulation had begun and there were no plows and it seemed that the roads had not been pre-treated, with sand, salt or chemicals. In other words, there seemed to be no preparation for the snow that we knew was coming! Disgusting.
Haha, I just realized that this was probably not the ideal place for my rant. I reread the original post and I see now that this might have been intended to be more of a “Yay, go Richmond for plowing the streets!” type of post. I don’t mean to upset anyone.
They couldn’t pre-salt the streets because of the forcast called for rain up until evening, which have washed away any salt they put down.
