The long-awaited new website for the Church Hill Association went live recently and is a great introduction to the St. John’s Historic District. The CHA is also on Facebook.

Well-done CHA!
Looks awesome!
Great looking website.
1 restaurant and 1 other business? I would think it in our interest to name all the eateries (with web sites, of course) and all other businesses if we want to lure folks to The Hill
I reckon they’re expecting that folks will submit their own businesses to the directory. There is a link to submit listings.
Having tried to maintain a directory on this site a while back, pulling together and keeping a set of listings current can be quite a chore.
Take a survey, John. Go by a couple of places and ask if they know there is a new CHA website and that there is a link where they can list their business.
I hope you are right.
Ah yeah, well there is that… I forwarded the link to a few folks & put it out on the CHPN twitter & Facebook.
I am suspicious…they did not list “The Kings Court” under the business section (or the Blue Wheeler).
John Murden, et. al.,
We greatly appreciate the excitement over the new Church Hill Association website on the CHPN blog. We are preparing formal announcements for our CHA newsletter and through other resources. The website has been a large project, and it’s been created using mostly a volunteer crew, so please bear with us as we go through our launch.
Rather than simply fill the “Area Businesses” section with a list of our choosing, at the CHA we felt it best to encourage businesses to submit their own information to ensure accuracy. Information and guidelines for listing your business can be found on our new site here: http://www.churchhill.org/working/submit-your-business/
We hope businesses will sign up, and we’ll be making formal calls for inclusion as we unfold our launch campaign.
Thank so much for supporting the CHA.

Thanks for the explanation, John. Meanwhile The Hill Cafe is getting a lot of free publicity. But if you use the map option associated with it, you’ll be somewhere around the Diamond.
#10, the way I read it, any business wanting to add their information has to be vetted by the CHA Board (unless I misread it). So, I think misdirecting people to the Diamond area for a month or two is a good idea, it sort of levels it out since it will be awhile until the Board can meet and vet/vote on who else can be listed!
@11 it looks like the CHA webmaster and & board are moving swiftly b/c several other businesses are already listed.
