Fairmount corner store robbed at gunpoint
04/11/2012 10:43 AM by John M
Fairmount’s Church Hill Super Market, in the 1300 block of 22nd Street, was robbed yesterday morning:
The suspect was described as a black man in his mid 20s, 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, wearing his hair in dreadlocks and brandishing a black handgun. The suspect was dressed in a dark blue shirt, gray jeans with dark blue circles on each knee, dark-colored tennis shoes and was wearing a black mask
Nice looking store, where are the windows?
Speaking of nice looking stores, has the 5-corners market been robbed yet? I don’t wish violent crime on anyone, but that location and the design of their store it is just a matter of time before their first.
Bret #2, Is 5-corners the one at the corner of Mosby and Venable, the one I see if I use the MLK bridge to come to CH? I keep looking at that one and thinking, it looks like the one Omar got shot at during the episode of The Wire when he got shot….although I’ve never been inside, so have no clue if the inside would fit the location shot in B’more or not.
Being a proud homeowner on Mosby St. (and yes I get that look every time I have to give my address out) 5 Corners is typical of Church Hill corner stores, which means it is jam packed with shoe string to hair perms. Unfortunately, I’m sure its day is coming. The corner store about 50 yds from it gets robbed on occasion also. Very sad because I like having that option in walking distance.
looks more like a cigeratte and beer joint
