Police seeking 2nd suspect in Mechanicsville Turnpike shooting
Richmond Police detectives have arrested one man, but need the public’s help to find the second man wanted in connection with a weekend shooting.
Detectives identified Harold “Buttons” L. Abrams III, 22, of the 1500 block of Coalter Street, as a suspect and arrested him without incident at a home in the 3200 block of N Street after a brief standoff. He has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Detectives need the public’s help to find Wayne “Weezie” A. Bland Jr., 32, of the 1300 block of Coalter Street. He is also wanted on charges of malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Anyone with any information about Bland’s location is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both methods are anonymous.
Wasnt Weezie the wife on the Jeffersons?
Yup. And you just made my day.
Seriously…if they want street cred, they need better names than Buttons and Weezie. Sounds like a kitty cat and someone with asthma.
