I lived in a house just left of the brick home in the photo during the mid 90s. It was 407 N. 27th Street and was the original home of Capt. Wills cir. 1812. When I lived there, 401 N. 27th was a laundromat run by a man named Charlie!
cue Eric Huffstetler comment about how old and historic his house is in 3..2…1…
Wow this building has gone through a lot of colors! It is now red.
Hey Clay Street… hope that was a “positive” cue 🙂
Elyse, we own the house you lived in – bought it in 1999. I have done extensive research on it, the “laundromat” building, and the block in general. I know every person’s name who owned or lived in our house since 1812.
This is the first time I have seen this photo too. Any of the house?
Eric,
I loved living in that house. We rented the house from Dan Harrington from 1996-early 1998. I then moved to another of Dan’s properties at 620 N. 23rd St.
I considered buying the house, but at 26 wasn’t ready to take on such a big project…kind of wish I had, but it looks like it ended up in good hands!
