He rolls everywhere from his home in Church Hill. To get to school at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, he rolls down Venable to Mosby and across the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge, then needs to take a shuttle bus to Ginter Park, where his classes in early childhood education have been held for the past year.

I’ve seen Ray around a few times, and he’s always smiling. A great role model for young men in Church Hill!
With a smile that lights up everything around him. I’m hoping that the city will someday provide handicapped ramps along Venable so that Mr. Jones and others in the neighborhood won’t have to ride in wheelchairs along this heavily-traveled street. I’ve raised the issue with two past and the present council person to no avail.
