Could we get an update from last year’s winners as to the status of their enterprises ?
That would be interesting. I don’t think I’ve seen any real forward movement from anyone other then Proper Pie and Sub Rosa.
@just a neighbor, the other two awardees are actually up and running with their businesses. One is a junk hauling operation and the other is a natural hair care center.
@1 Houdon, A while back someone asked about the status of a “home fund” you had something to do with. You very quietly never gave us an update on that. Play fair.
The SEED grants were made with private money. What’s your concern? You know how long it takes to get new businesses open in this city. From what I hear, all those businesses are coming along just fine. Maybe not as fast as you’d like, but that’s the way it goes ’round here.
I don’t think Houdon was being snarky. I had the same idea: it would be cool to get an update on last year’s winners.
I’ll try to follow up on this, sooner or later.
@wrs…I went back and looked at the winners from last year but not until after I had posted. I had forgotten it wasn’t just start ups. Makes sense that we wouldn’t nessarily see someone buying a new vehicle or supplies for their already established business.
Would be nice to get an update on the companies that WERE start up’s though. Shoot, it would be nice to be updated on all of them really, not because of distrust, but feel good news always makes us….feel good!
I read somewhere that there is an informational meeting tomorrow (July 21st, 2012) for the SEED II program. Does anyone know where/when this meeting is? Thanks!
