Have you seen Boba?

We live on the 600 block of 33rd street, and have been taking care of our friend’s cat, “Boba” Johnson. We had been letting her stay outside without any problems for nearly a week, but as of last Wednesday (June 18), she has not returned home. She does not have her collar on her, she is calico who is prone to having a bad attitude. I’ve attached a picture of her as a kitten.
Good luck on finding your friend’s cat.
Though I face palmed when I read this, there is still a chance she will come home if she hasn’t yet. If that happens, you may want to consider this super secret tactic for cat control called “Keeping them the fuck inside”. It works well to prevent loss or, say, poisoning, for example. Or hit by car. Or being mauled to death horribly by dogs.
Also, don’t quit your day job cause you are terrible at pet sitting.
@All Bark – that was really harsh not to mention mean, even by my cat-loving standards. Granted, the cat shouldn’t have been outside without a coller and/or microchip. I’m guessing the owners allowed the cat to go outside and the pet sitter was following suit. A few suggestions to help owners/pet sitters locate a lost pet: 1. Go to, don’t call, Richmond Animal Control, 1600 Chamberlayne Ave., to look for pet. The pet may have been picked up or brought there. 2. Leave a “lost” report at Richmond Animal Control and review their “found” reports. 3. Visit local veterinarian offices to place a “lost” report and check their “found” reports. Leave a flyer w/ photos at same clinics (e.g., C.H. Animal Hospital, Broad St. Vet Clinic, Cary St. Vet, Fan Vet) 4. Post a ‘lost” report on Craig’s List and on Petfinders.org. Check same for “found” reports..5.Put up signs w/ photo & offer a reward. 6. Go out at night and call out pet’s name within 4-5 block radius of your home. Bring a food container that you can shake. 7.Put flyers in neighbors mailboxes. Ask neighbors to check sheds and outbuildings in case cat is hiding. 8.Put food & water on your porch(es). Also, put out some item(s) that carry your home’s scent (pet’s favorite blanket, toys, a pillow case). 9. Check Animal Control frequently. Also check with Henrico Animal Control since C.H. is near the Henrico line.
I don’t think All Bark’s comments were harsh at all. Every other post on CHPN is about a lost dog or cat that some stupid person let out of their house. What do you expect is going to happen?
