Have you seen Simon?
08/12/2012 9:53 AM by John M
The feral cat who adopted us four years ago hasn’t been seen in two days. His name is Simon and he usually roams the 2700 block of E. Broad Street, but has been seen a little farther afield on occasion. He always comes home to eat twice a day, so we are worried that something has happened to him. He is neutered — with one clipped ear to indicate this — and is current on his shots.
Please contact us at 782-1170 if you have any information on his whereabouts.
Sadly we found our Simon this evening under the neighbors’ very thick hedge. It was one of his favorite spots and he chose it as his last place. We assume that he was hit by a car. He was a very special cat to many of us on this block, even winning the hearts of the staunchest “dog people” among us. Thank you to those who contacted us — we really do have a special community here on the Hill.
I am so sorry for your loss.
This is terrible news. I loved interacting with Simon on my afternoon walks. I’m sorry this happened.
Our sympathies are with you.
Sorry to hear this Alli. Please accept my sympathies. It’s always so hard when a member of your family leaves.
Oh, Alli, I’m so sorry. My cat and I watched him from the window a few weeks ago, having such a good time chasing a possum on 27th. He was such a beautiful animal and was fortunate to have your care.
I’m so sorry, Alli, My husband and I saw Simon many times in our walks down Broad Street, and a few times he deigned to allow us to scritch him. At least he’s free of pain and at peace.
