Wildcats fall to Justices

The Armstrong Wildcats dropped to 1-1 with a 32-12 loss to the Colonial District’s John Marshall Justices (2-0).

The Justices were the area’s biggest surprise last year when they finished 7-3 and narrowly missed the playoffs. […] Across the field was a program that looked to make a dramatic turnaround similar to John Marshall’s. Armstrong (1-1) went 1-9 last season and hired new coach Kedrick Moody in June.

Kevon Cooley scored Armstrong’s first touchdown in the third quarter when he returned a punt 60 yards. Andre Mack added the second touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 9-yard run.

Next up are the Colonial Heights Colonials (0-2) of the Central District. Capital District play begins the week after that for the Wildcats with a game at the Glen Allen Jaguars (1-1).
