Church Hill Holiday House Tour

An assortment of some new construction, historic rehabilitation, and of course, those beautiful gems we’ve come to expect from this annual event. Tickets for the house tour will be available online at www.ChurchHill.org for $25 beginning December 1, and also at many of our fine Church Hill eateries and businesses. You can also purchase your tickets the day of the house tour on Sunday, December 16, in the Parish Hall of St. John’s Church.

Teen Research Study

The 7th District Health & Wellness Initiative is currently recruting teens between the ages of 13 & 14 for a fun research study conducted by the VCU Institute of Child and Family Studies. With a parent’s consent, teens participating in this study will be asked to answer survey questionnaires once every 6 months and text messages every other month, over a 2 year span. Teens will receive a free mobile phone to use during the study and may receive cash incentives over $200! Orientation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 6PM at the East District Family Resource Center, located at 2405 Jefferson Avenue. The parent and teen must attend this session to participate. For more details and/or to register, please contact Ms. Wilson, Patient Navigator for the 7th District Health & Wellness Initiative at 804-644-4496.

Church Hill Association

We will host our August potluck picnic, at 6:30 pm Tuesday, August 21, in Reed Square on 26th Street between east Franklin and east Grace streets. CHA will provide water, beer and wine. Again, this picnic is potluck. If your last name begins with A-G please contribute an eentrée. Last names beginning with H-N a side dish is appreciated, O-R a great green salad; and those with last names S-Z can bring desert! Regular meeting are every 3rd Tues.
