Woman in custody after fatal stabbing on Coalter Street

Richmond Police are investigating a homicide that occurred this afternoon. At approximately 1:03 p.m., officers were called to the Coalter Street Apartments in the 1300 block of Coalter Street for the report of a person stabbed. Officers found a male unresponsive in a parking lot from an apparent knife wound. He died at the scene.
Officers arrested Barbara R. Banks, 21, of the 1300 block of Coalter Street. Banks is charged with murder. Her photo is attached. The victim has been identified as Keon J. Robinson, 27, of the 600 block of Westover Circle.
This is the 1st killing in the East End in 2013, and the 2nd in Richmond.

The victim sounds like he was kind of asking for something. Not a knife through the chest something but a good beat down. What kind of man starts smacking random girls they don’t know really hard?
Again, not saying the outcome was anywhere near justified but at least by this one incident, it doesn’t sound like we lost a future pillar of the community here.
the premeditated process of going back into her apartment (where she easily could have locked the door and called the police), and coming back outside to then stab a man to death doesn’t exactly seem like self defense like some people seem to believe here…
