Poe’s Pub celebrates return of Jurina, 20th year of business
Recently got this from Jennifer at Poe’s Pub:
Chef Steve Jurina of Millie’s and Lulu’s fame has rejoined the kitchen staff of Poe’s Pub […] In addition to the two local restaurants mentioned Steve has also worked in top notch establishment in New York City and San Fransico.
Steve is very well known here in Church Hill and I’m sure many of the residents will be happy that he has returned from Harrisburg PA to once again create his craft in the Poe’s Pub kitchen. Steve plans on moving to the Church Hill soon and looks forward to seeing old and new friends at the Pub again.
Just one last mention, Poe’s Pub turned 19 this past November and we are looking forward to a landmark twenty years on the hill.

Poes food is never bad but when Steve’s in the kitchen, its amazing. Best deal in Richmond when Steve works.

To Chris #2, I’m really sorry. I think the service is usually decent, but then if at any point it isn’t, I make it known to the owners (Mike and Jennifer). I hear you, I don’t tolerate bad service well either. Hope you’ll try again, and if the service is bad let yourself be known, Mike is almost always there.
We stopped in last night for beers and burgers. Great burgers! The food has always been great, IMO. Service was good. I wish their draft list was better – I’d like to see Hardywood and Legend on tap.
I went to Poe’s for the first time a couple weeks ago. It’s always struck me as a total dive bar but I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was AMAZING and checked up on us often. And they have Woodchuck Cider on tap! I’ll be back more frequently!! 🙂
Poe’s arguably has the best ribs in Richmond. Always a pleasure to eat there.
