Man arrested in shooting on 22nd Street
This morning at approximately 9:30 a.m., the Richmond Police Department with assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force and the State Police, stopped a vehicle at exit 83 of northbound I-95 and arrested the driver for connection to a shooting on Sunday.
Tyriek J. Hayes, 21, of the 3100 block of East Marshall Street, was arrested without incident and charged with use of a firearm in commission of a felony. Other charges are pending. A photo is attached.
Hayes was wanted in connection to the shooting that occurred at approximately 2:37 p.m. yesterday in the 1800 block of North 22nd Street. A male was shot in that incident and was taken to VCU Medical Center in a private vehicle. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Guess he’ll be doing his balling in the prison showers from now on.
It’s a shame on half a dozen levels. He honestly looks like a nice dude. Wish we knew the back story.
I love you and always will ty!
