Help the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club win $10,000
03/17/2013 9:37 AM by John M
Coke and Family Dollar have partnered to give Boys and Girls Clubs around the country the opportunity to win up to $10,000. Our very own Club in Church Hill, The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, had an entry submitted by a volunteer named Rachel chosen as a finalist!
If her entry receives the most votes, the Club could win big.
People can go to the link HERE, and register with an e-mail or Facebook account. They can then search “Rachel” and find her entry for The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club. Then, they can VOTE DAILY, and share this information with any others that want to support this organization that has been serving our community since the ’50’s (and from the current site since ’71).
THANKS for your help!
thank you
Come on everyone, lets vote for them. The staff as well as the children deserve it. Lets bring it to them. At least it isn’t 6000 Girl Scout cookies. WE CAN DO THIS!
Okay, I signed up and voted. Will do so again tomorrow. I agree with you CityChick, we can do this and I think we SHOULD do it. Come on everyone, please vote! It only takes a minute or so, and you have to scroll through the essays to find Rachel’s but it’s worth it! Her essay is on the second page, I think, just click ‘next’ and scroll until you see it.
Thanks to all who voted, we here at The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club truly appreciate your support, and we are excited about how Rachel’s idea could positively impact the youth. She has a great plan already written up, and $10,000 would definitely help to start bringing that together.
If you’ve never seen the great things happening at the Club, we always welcome our community to step in to check it out.
