Missing a dog or two?
03/22/2013 6:35 PM by John M
@liannakristine: American bulldog & a tiny breed are running around 27th & E. Clay, no tags/collars, but seem friendly
TAGGED: pets
Sometime right before or after this was posted the larger of these two dogs attacked my girlfriend and our leashed 10 mo old golden pup on Clay st between 25th and 26th. Then after a time of her screaming for help the owner eventually came walking up from somewhere and pulled his dog off; making the comment, “Funny, it’s usually the smaller one who attacks.” By the time my girlfriend got our dog safely back inside our house and came outside again he and the dogs were gone. Please be careful and if anyone sees these dogs call animal control. They are not safe in our neighborhood.
Mattias – So sorry about your experience. Irresponsible dog owners make me crazy. I spend more time than I like to admit worrying about something like this happening while I am out with my two pups. I really hope your pup and girlfriend are alright.
Mattias, You need to report this to animal control. There is an unfortunate, self entitled group of dog owners that do not feel that the leash laws apply to them. This guys comment to your girlfriend is typical of this thought process (if you can call it that) Check out “Problems with unleashed dogs in Chimborazo park” on CHPN. You will be shocked at some of the arrogant postings.
