History Hounds Explore Church Hill Walking Tour

Dogs are invited to join their owners for this walking tour of Church Hill, in partnership with the Richmond SPCA. Dogs must have current shots, mix well with others and remain on a leash. Owners are responsible for water and cleaning up after their dogs. Space is limited. Reservations: (804) 649-0711 x301. Meet at Patrick Henry Park across from St. John’s Church, E. Urban Container Gardening

Volunteers needed for tree planting in Chimborazo Park

We will be working with the Greater Richmond Area Rotary Club to plant 20 cherry trees in the park.
At least a dozen Volunteers are needed to help dig and plant. Volunteers need to bring their own tools and gloves as we have a limited supply of shovels available.

Muse Creative Workspace is hosting a subscription concert series “LIVE @ the Warehouse” in support of music education and Jazz preservation within the Richmond area. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Jazz Mentor’s Project, a community outreach initiative that connects young musicians ages 8-18 with skilled professionals. We encourage you to support this initiative as it serves to improve the fabric of our Richmond community and provide opportunity for our youth! Good music for a GREAT cause!

With warmer weather on the way, sometimes it’s hard to make it to the gym. We get it. That’s why we’re moving the fun outdoors. Starting in May we’ll offer TRX & Yoga in the Park.

Yoga / 1st and 3rd TUES of each month at 7PM
TRX / 2nd and 4th SAT of each month at 9AM

If you’re a member at Richmond Balance it’s FREE! Punch cards are welcome. Don’t have a membership or a punch card? No worries, the drop-in price is $5 per class.

7th District Clean-up

There will be a 7th District Clean-up on Saturday, May 24 from 8AM-noon. Volunteers meet at 7:30AM at the corner of 24th Street and Fairmount Avenue. To help prepare, place any bulk trash in alley and notify the city by calling (804)646-3012.
