Era Vintage setting up shop on Marshall Street

Diana from Era Vintage announced today that the vintage shop (“specializing in 50’s, 60’s and 70’s furniture, home accessories and other unique items”) will be moving into the storefront at 2704 East Marshall Street, right across from Cyclus Bicycle Shop and down from both Dutch & Co. and WPA Bakery.

Oh no….my wife is gonna bankrupt us on this corner alone.
Does anyone know what is going into that building that was recently auctioned off that is across from Dutch & Co. and WPA Bakery? I saw a paint can outside the other day and the windows are all papered up – it looks like something is going on.
Word is that the guy who now owns it won’t be putting a lot of money in it, just basically cleaning it up.
If that’s true, what a disappointment though it is an improvement over what it’s been, I guess.
Neighbor, I am a bit confused as well. I would also like to know what is going into 324 N 27th now owned by 1819 Property LLC of Midlothian.
But the address for this Era Vintage is the group of mini brick storefronts behind the old historic 401 N 27th and she has already been there for a few months. But I also saw someone working on the old 401 building yesterday also and property line surveys so confused there too.
In any cases I see no Building Permits listed online for 324 and I know people were working all day long yesterday with a compressor backfiring for hours.
Ray, someone needs to contact him – CHA or historic groups to find out his intensions because of property values and what is going on with the other corners being restored properly. They need to follow suit.

I happened to be walking past the newly sold corner building across from Dutch and Company the other day when a person walked out. I asked what their plans are for the building and I was told that they’re going to ask the community what they would like it to be. I heard the choices are either a deli or a chinese restaurant.
Hmmm…
I’m just telling you what I heard.

I think 324 N.27th should be a yoga studio. Rachel from Sukha could teach classes there as well as some other awesome yogis from around town. Maybe someone could offer a drop-in meditation group. There could even be a massage therapist. I know restore pt provides myofascial release, but an enterprising bodywork person could offer other treatments. 4025 Yoga on McArthur in Bellevue operates out of a storefront and has three studio spaces. I think Church Hill is looking a lot more like Bellevue these days and could finally support something like this.
Great! Church Hill needs more non restaurant retail.
