The lot described as 401 North 35th Street (formerly Chimborazo Village) is apparently for sale:
This is 8 different tax ID numbers E0001116012, E0001116011,E0001116030,E0001114015,E0001114009,E0001114017,E0001114005,E0001283001 They total 6.89 ac. This land can be developed into a possible 254 unit apartment community. One section is zoned as R-63 equaling 211 units and another section is zoned R-5 equaling 15 units with the possibility to be zoned R-7 equaling 43 units. We have maps to show the property

there are remnants of streets and parking lots down there, overgrown by brush.
What happened to Chimborazo Village ? I heard that alot of that land is landfill and the former development had issues with foundations.
Urban legend?
I heard they had serious drainage problems with sewage backups occurring regularly. Yuck! Didn’t it used to be the trolley turn around area? I thought I remembered seeing that on an old map.
Kings Retreat! Let’s make this happen!
It’s been for sale since I moved here six years ago. There’s a stagnant pond right off Glenwood in the brush. Nothing seems to be developing here, including Oakwood Heights on the hill.
