MLK and Armstrong are among lowest-performing schools in Virginia

From Zachary Ried at the RTD:

Richmond has 12 of Virginia’s 37 “priority” schools, a designation for the bottom 5 percent of Title I schools in the state based on performance on Standards of Learning exams last year. As part of Virginia’s waiver from federal No Child Left Behind requirements, those schools must use state-approved turnaround partners to quickly improve their performance.

East End schools on the list are Armstrong High and Martin Luther King Jr. Middle.
