With warmer weather on the way, sometimes it’s hard to make it to the gym. We get it. That’s why we’re moving the fun outdoors. Starting in May we’ll offer TRX & Yoga in the Park.
Yoga / 1st and 3rd TUES of each month at 7PM
TRX / 2nd and 4th SAT of each month at 9AM
If you’re a member at Richmond Balance it’s FREE! Punch cards are welcome. Don’t have a membership or a punch card? No worries, the drop-in price is $5 per class.

City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Frequency
Typically the second and fourth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)

Quoit Club: Historic St. John’s Church Graveyard Tour

Historic St. John’s Church Graveyard Tour (2401 E. Broad Street) / The Quoit Club is Historic Richmond’s social club which educates members on the historic places and architectural legacy of Richmond’s past, present and future. Events feature behind-the-scenes tours, followed by a social hour with drinks and hors d’ouerves. LONG WALK TO FREEDOM

This year’s walk, scheduled for October 19th, will begin at Richmond City Jail as usual. This year’s theme is “Working together to Reduce Recidivism”.
If you are not familiar with this event, The Long Walk to Freedom is designed to achieve two goals: 1) raise awareness of the challenges facing released prisoners and 2) raise funds for programs that provide solutions to these challenges.
The registration fee for the walk is $15 of which $10 goes to the solution provider of your choice and $5 go towards the cost for planning the walk. I hope that you will choose Saving Our Youth Virginia as your solution provider of choice.
