Ghosts and Grisly Stories Segway Tour from Church Hill to the Capital
The River City Segs’ Ghosts and Grisly Stories Segway Tour runs nightly @ 6PM through November 7:
This nightly tour combines some of the most paranormally active spots and the most terrifying stories of murder and mayhem from the 400 years of Richmond’s recorded history.
Riders will meet at River City Segs (1805 E. Grace St.), and begin with a full training session. Our training area is in an 1884 firehouse, which allows us to continue in the tradition of The Ghostbusters. The Ghostbuster’s firehouse had the only ghost containment facility, and ours has the only Segway specific training area in VA.
Once all riders are comfortable we will embark on our tour, which extends from St. John’s Church all the way to the Capital and beyond. Stories will include the murder of George Wythe, America’s first law professor, the 1870 collapse at the VA State Capitol, the most notorious grave robber in Richmond’s history, the ghosts that haunt the Governor’s Mansion and the Pohlig Box Factory, and much more.
Riders are highly encouraged to make a reservation, as space is limited. Must be at least 14 years old. An adult must accompany anyone under 18. All riders must arrive at least 45 minutes early and complete our safety training.
