Shaka and Friends fundraiser kicks off in November

10/24/2013 8:58 AM by

Shaka and Maya Smart’s “Shaka and Friends” will be launching an ongoing fundraiser for the FRIENDS Association for Children:

This November help Shaka & Maya Smart raise money for FRIENDS Association for Children. Register your team and rally the troops to sell the most shirts and your group could win Shaka for an hour and many other cool prizes. It’s free.

Become a Fundraiser

Once the fund launches on November 1, 2013, visit bonfirefunds.com/friendsrva and click the blue “Become a Fundraiser” button and follow the registration steps. You can join an existing team, create your own team, or just fundraise as an individual.

Share your unique link

Individuals share their unique link to the Shaka & Friends’ fund page with their friends and family on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Everytime someone buys a shirt through your link, you get credited for the sale. If you are part of a team, your individual stats are credited to your team as well.

Earn amazing rewards

Individuals and teams can win great rewards for helping sell shirts. Some of the prizes that are up for grabs include dinner with Shaka, Limited Edition Shaka t-shirt, a Samsung 55″ SMART LED TV and other one-of-a-kind rewards.

The team that sells the most shirts wins Shaka Smart for an hour. (Have him give a motivational speech at your next company meeting or ask him to lead your group on an hour workout. How cool is that?)

FRIENDS Association for Children is a non-profit child and family agency that has served the Central Virginia community for over 140 years. The organization began in 1871 as an orphanage in historic Jackson Ward, and today serves nearly 1,000 children ages six weeks to 17 years of age at multi-service child development centers in Jackson Ward and Church Hill.
