Learn to care for neighborhood trees as a Richmond Tree Steward
11/01/2013 7:42 AM by John M
Richmond Tree Steward classes will begin in January with a 10 week course that is packed with information and delivered by excellent speakers.
Our hope is that the room is filled with citizens who want to join our efforts to help care for the urban forest and be a community resource. We believe that every neighborhood and every city park should have a Tree Steward. Schools, churches, any community group who plants or cares for trees can benefit from the course, not to mention how the trees under their care will benefit.
The class is limited to 30 participants. Applications are due by November 22. Get more information and apply online.
Have all of the trees been planted that are scheduled to go in following the earlier post about suggested locations?
