Adam Bova and Ryan Pace have started an Indiegogo campaign towards raising $5,000 to make a documentary of the Church Hill Tunnel collapse:

The Church Hill Tunnel Collapse Documentary

Its October of 1925 in Richmond’s Church Hill Train Tunnel. This documentary tells the story of a tragedy which brought a city together.

Behind my love of film is a love for history. As I was finishing up my MFA in Directing my good friend Ryan Pace, a Richmond native, began to introduce me to the wonderful history which surrounds this great city. He told me of his plans to do a documentary on the Church Hill Chesapeake and Ohio train tunnel for his thesis film. Because of my love for history I had to say yes. The fact that this documentary is going to be about a train that has been trapped underground for almost 90 years fascinated me all the more.

We have consulted the preeminent authority on the Church Hill tunnel, Professor Walter S. Griggs, Jr., on the history and stories surrounding the tunnel. We have also been fortunate to secure the talents of Tim Timberlake, formerly of WRVA radio, as our voiceover narrator. Richmond is a city steeped in history from its founding in colonial Virginia to today. Richmond and its people have a vast array of stories to tell us. Ryan and I want to make this documentary so we can share the story of the tunnel with a wider audience. We can only do this with your help. Without you, we cannot give the story the justice and quality it deserves. Thank you for your support.

We need about $5,000.00 in order to tell this story the way it needs to be told. Most of this funding will go towards what you will see on screen. From photo rights to costuming, props, equipment costs and much more. The money we raise will go directly into the production process. Only with your help will we be able to show and tell a story that captures the imagination. The more we raise, the more photographs we can get, the more costuming we can use, and the more stunning will be the locations we can film in. Your support directly helps make an amazing film!

This is not our first film together. Between me, the director, and the cinematographer, we have already made a successful short film set in World War II. This period drama has already won at the Regent Showcase and is currently touring the festival circuit. We have a proven track record of creating top quality films that audiences enjoy. Now we want to do so again with your help.

Please take a moment to donate and to share this exciting opportunity to bring to life an amazing story on film. Please share on Facebook.com. Tweet us. Indiegogo makes it easy!
