I think it is interesting how there is a website for being “political correct”, about using the “R” word, but no one in Richmond seems to think its a problem that we HAIL the all mightly “Redskins.” You don’t see too many articles about that. But its okay, because Bon Secours, the mayor and Richmond supports the use of derogitory slang terms, to be plastered all over our city streets and hospitals. Its okay though, because we have been using this derogitory term for decades. Who cares about the Red-Skined people that were killed? Who cares about them being given infected blankets, who cares that their women and children were raped and slaughtered. Their land is our land now. Are hispanics immigrants or are we all?

Not only is the redskin term a slang term, like the “N” word, but it is a stereotype of a group people. If you don’t think the term is offensive, would you walk up to a native american person and say hey “Redskin”? Really- think about it.
